BIRTHDAY OPEN HOUSE – Ramona Kryder will be celebrating her 90th birthday with an open house on Sunday, August 26th, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm, in the outer chapel.

AWANA MINISTRY CONFERENCE - Wednesday, August 22nd, 6:15 to 9:00 pm: Connect with other AWANA leaders, learn practical ministry tools and be refreshed with stories of hope! All AWANA volunteers need to plan to attend, this is a great way to grow in your ministry to children. We will even pay your registration fee! Please sign up at the Welcome Center, or with Merri Lane 414.380.1072 text/call. (Let us know if you need childcare).

FAMILY NIGHT VOLUNTEER KICKOFF - Wednesday, August 29th, 6:00 to 8:00 pm: We welcome students and children to Frontline starting Tuesday, September 4th and to CORE/AWANA starting Wednesday, September 5th. All volunteers will gather Wednesday, August 29th for a special evening to worship, pray and prepare together for the upcoming year. If you are serving or interested in serving, plan to join us! Come for pizza at 5:45 pm. Childcare will be available. Please sign up at the Welcome Center, or with Merri Lane 414.380.1072 text/call.

AWANA STARTS NEXT MONTH! Awana clubs serve children, ages 18 months to 5th grade, on Wednesday nights, 6:30 – 8:00 pm, September – April. Our first night of club is a Family Open House. Parents and caregivers should plan to join us Wednesday, September 5th, at 6:30 pm. Register your clubbers online today (free) at www.parkhillskids.com.

MARRIED COUPLES - Did you know that the month of September is Date Night awareness month? Actually, it’s not, but if you haven’t been on a date with your spouse in awhile then September is a good time to plan one! We encourage you to continuously be aware of prioritizing intentional dates every month with your spouse. It’s not only a great way to show your spouse that he/she is still a priority to you, but it’s also a time to kindle your love for each other. Have kids? Need a sitter? No problem, we’ve got it covered. Date Night with childcare is scheduled on Friday, September 14th, from 5:30 - 9:00 pm, for nursery age - 5th grade. Games, a movie, and a snack will be provided. A sign-up sheet for FREE childcare is located at the Welcome Center, the Children’s Check-in Desk or at www.parkhillsefc.org/ministries/marriage-ministry.

FAITH COMMUNITY NURSE (FCN) – FCN’s will be doing free blood pressure screenings, Sunday, August 26th, between services (9:45 – 10:30 am) in the Music Room Annex.

FREEPORT PREGNANCY CENTER WALK FOR LIFE FUNDRAISER – This event will take place on Saturday, September 15th, at 10:00 am, at Krape Park. For additional information and access to the online fundraising option go to www.fpcwalkforlife.com.

HONDURAS MISSION TRIP is September 15th - 22nd. Pray that the 23 team members are prepared spiritually to discern God's voice as He leads them to serve the Honduran people and meet their physical/spiritual needs. Pray for the safety, unity and health of the team and that the Gospel is proclaimed with clarity.

FALL MEMBERSHIP CLASS – Have you ever wanted to know more about Park Hills Church and/or considered becoming a member? Plan to join us Sunday, September 23rd through Sunday, October 14th, from 6:00 – 8:30 pm. You will be encouraged by four evenings of inspiring ministry overview. Sign up at the Welcome Center today. SEND GOD’S WORD – Donate Bibles to honor someone special. Visit the Gideon card display located on the counter in the Café or visit gideons.org/sendtheword.

FACC (Freeport Area Church Cooperative) is asking for donations of canned mixed vegetables. ALSO, FACC is in need of volunteers. If you would be interested in volunteering, please contact the FACC office at 815/233-0435. Donations may be left in the bin in the Lobby.

  • “WHY I BELIEVE” by Chip Ingram - taught by Dale Miner & Bill Kuhlemeier, 9-10:00 am in the Library.
  • “TEN LIES ABOUT GOD” by Erwin Lutzer - taught by Gary Quinn, 10:00 - 11:15 am in the Chapel. This class will conclude Sunday, August 26th.
  • Sunday, September 2nd, a Q & A with Pastor Cliff will be held in the Chapel from 10:00 – 11:15 am.
  • Sunday, September 9th, Pastor Cliff will begin teaching Philippians in the Chapel, from 10:00 – 11:15 am.
