MARRIED COUPLES - Spring is in the air, and it’s a good season for romance. Speak those famous words “I do” to each other again by intentionally going on a date. This says to your spouse, I “still” do. Have kids? Need a sitter? No problem, we’ve got it covered. Date Night with childcare is scheduled for Friday, June 14th from 5:30 - 9:00pm for nursery age - 5th grade. Games, movie & a snack will be provided. To sign-up for FREE childcare visit the Welcome Center, Children’s Check-In Desk, or www.parkhillschurch.com/ministries/marriage-ministry.

BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN - The Freeport Pregnancy Center works in our community to help teens, youth, women and families who are facing an unplanned pregnancy. They have been reaching out to people in need for over 27 years! We want to support them in this ‘front-line’ ministry again this year by joining in their annual Change for Life. Please pick up an empty baby bottle from the bassinet in the lobby, take it home, and over the next few weeks fill it with coins, bills or checks and then return it to the church by Sunday, June 16th, Father’s Day.  Your donations mean that the women, men and unborn children who need help in our own community always have a place to turn to for support and encouragement. Last year this campaign raised $27,000!!

BAPTISM is an important event in the believer's walk with Jesus Christ. If you are interested in being baptized at our June 23rd service, please call the church office at 815/232-6159 to speak with one of our pastors before Monday, June 10th.

A poem by Jill Jeffrey, reflecting on last week’s sermon…

Who is destined for salvation?

How much does it cost?

Is it expensive treasure?

Once acquired, can it be lost?

Salvation is no commodity

To be bartered, bought or sold

It’s not like gold or silver

Not something one can hold.

Salvation is available,

Free for anyone to know.

It was already bought by Jesus

On the cross so long ago.

Then why don’t people claim it,

So freely theirs to take?

Can’t they see that their rejection

Will cause God’s heart to break?

Not everyone denies Him though.

Sometimes they’ve never heard

The message of salvation,

God’s healing, saving Word.

Who can bring this healing Word?

Whose responsibility?

Who will tell the searching souls?

Who will the sharers be?

Not the pastors, nor the teachers,

But the Christians, me and you.

We, each one, have power

From the Holy Spirit true.

Let the Holy Spirit change you

As He did when Jesus died.

The disciples caught His fire,

Authority they defied.

We have access to that fire.

The Holy Spirit waits.

Satan loves our hesitation.

It’s our sharing God he hates.

So live and love like Jesus.

Overcome the daily fear.

Share with new abandon

The faith you hold so dear.

Some people may disdain you.

Some may even talk you down.

But the ones who hear your message

Will one-day wear a crown.
